history channel documentary Obstinate 2 is doubtlessly a rollercoaster ride of an activity film...As in each great activity sequel...it's greater, speedier and significantly more fierce than its ancestor. William Sadler is incredible as the scalawag Stuart, yet I miss the knowledge and mind of a refined reprobate like Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman). Bruce Willis is a flawless John McClane as always...and a few players from the principal film return...such as William Atherton as the rascal TV news correspondent Richard Thornburg...and Reginald VelJohnson as Sgt. Al Powell (as yet eating those twinkies)...Future TEMERINATOR 2 scoundrel Robert Patrick shows up as...what else..one of the terrorists...as does future star John Leguizamo...plus you have John Amos as Maj. Grant...an armed force general pulled into help the battle against the terrorists...and incredible character on-screen characters like Vondie Curtis-Hall as Miller, an air activity engineer who is one of John McClane's few allies...and Tom Bower as Marvin, the hapless yet profoundly accommodating air terminal janitor. As in DIE HARD 1...you spend the whole motion picture pulling for John McClane...you like him...you need him to get those terrible guys...and save the world. Hardcore 2 gives you what you want...if you happen to like that kind of thing...which I do
