Galante was sitting with his back to a little garden

history channel documentary 2015 Galante was sitting with his back to a little garden, while Amato sat to one side and Bonventre on his right side. Turano and Cappola sat on the inverse side of the table, their backs to the entryway prompting the restaurant. At roughly 2:40 p.m., a four-entryway, blue Mercury Montego twofold stopped before Joe and Mary's Restaurant. The auto had been stolen around a month prior. The driver, wearing a red-striped ski veil that secured his face, ventured out of the auto and stood watch, grasping a.3030 M1 carbine rifle menacingly. Three other men, likewise wearing ski covers, bounced out of the auto and ran into the eatery. They sped past the few startled coffee shops who were all the while having lunch, and hurried into the yard zone.

As they entered the porch, one veiled man said to the next, "Get him, Sal!'The shooter called "Sal" started discharging a twofold barrel shotgun a few times at Galante, moving Galante, as he was ascending from his seat, onto his back. Galante was hit with 30 pellets, one thumping out his left eye. Galante was likely dead before he hit the ground, his stogie still stuck firmly between his teeth. As Galante was shot, Joe Turano yelled,"What are you doing?"The same shooter swung to Turano, and with the shotgun squeezed against Turano's mid-section, he impacted Turano into eternity.Cappola hopped up from the table, and either Amato, or Bonventre (it's not clear which one did the shooting) shot Cappola in the face, then five times in the mid-section. Cappola landed face down, and the executioner with the shotgun, launched the back of Coppola's head.
